Our 2009, Sterling Silver Poinsettia Snowflake is inspired by the colorful plant cultivated by the Aztecs in Mexico and first used in Christmas celebrations by Catholic missionaries working there in the 17th century. It was brought to the U.S. in 1825 by Ambassador Joel Poinsett. Each snowflake ornament comes with a red ribbon for hanging.
